BUILD

BUILD is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 with the mission to empower youth in under-resourced communities for success in high school, college, and their careers through entrepreneurship-based learning. The program, currently serving around 2,000 high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, DC, Boston, MA, and New York City, offers a unique four-year experience focusing on Common Core, 21st Century Skills, and student engagement. Students engage in developing business ideas, pitching to funders, and launching real businesses, providing them with practical skills and experience. BUILD has a diverse and results-driven team, committed to the transformation of education through entrepreneurship-based learning. The organization fosters a collaborative environment that encourages perseverance, flexibility, cross-cultural understanding, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
