Oakland Promise

Oakland Promise is a non-profit organization founded in 2016, headquartered in the United States. The organization's slogan, "Oakland Promise is a cradle-to-career nonprofit that empowers young people and families with scholarships and support," reflects its commitment to providing support for youth and families. Their vision is to ensure that every child in Oakland has the necessary resources and skills to complete college and succeed in their chosen career. The organization received a $3.50M grant investment on 24 April 2023, led by the Walter & Elise Haas Fund. The investment will likely further their mission to provide financial support for students pursuing higher education, particularly at 2-year and technical colleges.
