Smučarska zveza Slovenije / Ski Association of Slovenia is a national sports association, the only organization in the field of skiing that is a member of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia. The association comprises ski clubs engaged in various skiing disciplines such as Alpine skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combination, cross-country skiing, biathlon, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, telemark, training, and organizing in the ski area. With a rich history dating back to 1920/1921, the association has more than 230 clubs and over 2300 competitors representing Slovenia in various competitions. The strong participation of young people in ski disciplines presents a promising future for the organization. Founded in 1948, SAS operates in the sports industry and has a wide-reaching presence throughout Slovenia.
