Description: Antoine et Julien met in Brittany in the autumn of 1999 and quickly became friends, later becoming roommates in Paris. One evening, they challenged themselves to create affordable wooden sunglasses. After years of development, they launched a small collection before Julien left for Australia, giving birth to Waiting For The Sun. The brand's accessories express the designers' interest in raw materials and unconventional applications. W/SÜN focuses on innovative collaborations with technical partners, labels, and artists, asserting its uniqueness in the current fashion landscape.
After four years of working with wood, W/SÜN introduced a new material in autumn 2013: BOIS2. This innovative material is 100% recyclable, natural, and biodegradable while retaining the qualities of acetate. W/SÜN also launched a new range called SLASH, made from high-quality handmade acetate. With a laid-back spirit and an alternative vision of the economy, WAITING FOR THE SUN aims to establish itself as a major player in eyewear without losing its focus on sustainability.
