UCIMA (Unione Costruttori Italiani Macchine Automatiche per il Confezionamento e l'Imballaggio), founded in 1984, is the national trade association representing and supporting Italian packing and packaging machinery manufacturers. With over 100 member companies, including industry leaders, UCIMA's highest concentration of members is in the Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Veneto, and Piedmont regions.
UCIMA member companies encompass the entire spectrum of packaging machinery production, servicing industries ranging from food, confectionery, and tobacco to pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, cosmetics, and end-of-line technologies. As a member of the Italian Employers' Federation Confindustria, Italian Packaging Institute, COPAMA, and EUROPAMA, UCIMA is an integral part of the Italian industry's representation system with strong national and international networks facilitating the pursuit of initiatives and development strategies for the sector.
Operating from Villa Marchetti in Baggiovara (Modena) since January 2012, UCIMA maintains close links with various institutions and plays a crucial role in fostering the growth of the sector. It offers its member companies professional services, information, consulting, and assistance on major industry issues, underlining its commitment to supporting and advancing the interests of the industrial and manufacturing sectors in Italy.
