TINSA Foundation: Enabling sustainable environment, society, and development

Established in 2021, TINSA is a registered non-governmental organization that aims to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, ecosystems, and landscapes by fostering community participation. The core team of early-career researchers and conservationists at TINSA is driven by scientific temperament and believes in evidence-based interventions for sustainable development.

TINSA prides itself on its expertise in biodiversity assessments and community outreach. The organization has quickly gained appreciation and respect from the conservation fraternity for its efforts. Notably, in September of this year, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, TINSA organized a successful two-day butterfly survey in Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary, attended by over 90 volunteers from across the country. This citizen-science effort led to the identification of 103 butterfly species, bringing attention to the sanctuary.

Currently, TINSA is in the process of forging partnerships with other national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, tiger reserves, and educational institutions to design and implement research studies and community outreach programs. The organization aspires to create long-lasting, outcome-oriented partnerships with stakeholders at every level in the conservation ecosystem to work towards a better tomorrow.
