The San Francisco Boys Chorus (SFBC) is an internationally acclaimed Grammy Award-winning not-for-profit music education and performing arts organization based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1948, it serves over 225 singers from 50 Bay Area cities and more than 120 schools at three Bay Area campuses. The Chorus's mission is to provide music education, vocal training, and performance experience at the highest artistic level to Bay Area boys from all cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.
The Chorus aims to encourage appreciation of music, self-discipline, confidence, commitment, teamwork, and respect for others. Its performing philosophy is centered on the idea that concerts and other performing opportunities are the end-result of countless classes, camps, and rehearsals, enabling choristers to advance musically and mature as young men while gaining an appreciation for other people and experiences. Furthermore, public appearances help promote the Chorus and ensure the sustainability of choral music in the Bay Area and worldwide.
With its focus on education and its impactful presence in the cultural center of San Francisco, the San Francisco Boys Chorus offers a compelling opportunity for investment in the arts and musically inclined education initiatives.
