Roughrider Electric Cooperative is a non-profit electric utility serving members in Billings, Dunn, Mercer, Oliver, Stark, and Golden Valley counties in North Dakota. Established in 1948, the cooperative currently caters to over 8,800 members and provides electricity to more than 14,700 meters. Owned by its members, the cooperative is governed by an elected nine-member Board of Directors.
Roughrider Electric sources its power through Upper Missouri Generation & Transmission Cooperative in Sidney, MT, with Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Western Area Power Administration as its suppliers.
