Pure Water for the World

Pure Water for the World is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe water, sanitation, and hygiene for all. Founded in 1994 as a club project, it quickly outgrew its capacity and was officially established as Pure Water for the World, Inc. (PWW) in 1999. The organization is headquartered in Rutland, VT, with offices in Tegucigalpa, Trojes, and Maraita in Honduras, as well as Limonade in Haiti. PWW's vision is to ensure safe water, proper sanitation, and sustainable practices for future generations. Their work focuses on empowering underserved communities in Haiti and Central America, with a strong emphasis on providing education and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene programs. Additionally, their WASH Training and Consulting Services teams provide workshops and consultations to other NGOs, government agencies, health officials, and educators, ultimately reaching over 730 communities and more than 750,000 people. PWW is highly regarded in the nonprofit sector, meeting all 20 BBB Standards, earning Guidestar's Platinum Seal of Transparency, achieving a 100/100 rating by Charity Navigator, and being recognized as a 2022 Classy Award Finalist and a 1% for the Planet Nonprofit Partner.
