Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency, Inc (NEMCSA)

Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency, Inc (NEMCSA) is a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency, operating in 22 counties throughout Michigan, with an 11 county core service area in Northeastern Michigan. Established in 1968, NEMCSA has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life by empowering individuals and strengthening communities for over five decades. The agency, governed by a 30-member Board of Directors with equal representation of the public, private sectors, and clients receiving services, receives federal and state grant funds along with local public and private resources, which are then directed into programs aiding the poor and disadvantaged across all age groups. Additionally, NEMCSA provides assistance to local governments and non-profit agencies in securing funding for projects benefitting communities and individuals within its service area.
