Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company Ltd. (JPRC) is a crude oil refinery that was founded in 1956 and commenced production in 1961. Situated approximately 35 km east of the capital city Amman, the refinery's site is located in the city of Zarqa. JPRC not only operates a crude oil refinery but also owns a Lube oil blending facility, three LPG bottling stations, and LPG storage facilities in Amman, Zaraq, and Irbid. Additionally, the company manages its oil terminal and storage facilities in the city of Aqaba. The Jopetrol Lube Oil plant, which commenced operations in 1977, initially had a production capacity of 15 thousand tons per year. With continuous growth, the plant's yearly production has now reached 25 thousand tons per single shift. JPRC's Lube Oil Factory specializes in the production of various lubricating oils, adhering to different international standards and specifications, encompassing products such as engine oils, gear lubricants, hydraulic fluids, compressor oils, transmission fluids, bearing lubricants, and other specialty products. In line with quality assurance, the company ensures compliance throughout the different production phases, including blending, filling, and loading. The lubricants are packaged in metal cans of varying sizes, such as 1, 5, and 209 liters, as well as in locally purchased plastic containers with capacities of 0.25, 5, 20, and 25 liters.
