Cross Oil Refining & Marketing, Inc. is an American oil refinery that has been in operation since 1923. It distinguishes itself as a customer-oriented company that provides base and specialty oils customized to specific customer groups. Located in Smackover, AR, the naphthenic refinery ensures a high degree of consistency in its oils by managing the entire supply chain, from crude oil shipment, to refining, to delivery of the final product. After years in the refining business, Cross Oil expanded its reach and acquired an interest in a consumer that would utilize the refinery’s base oils. This led to the establishment of Cross Packaging on the Arkansas grounds in 2002, featuring warehouse and production facilities spanning over 165,000 square feet. The facility boasts eight high speed lines capable of filling various sizes, ranging from 2.6 ounce bottles to bulk tankers, and stores over two million gallons of bulk storage to feed the packaging plant. Under Cross Packaging, three brands were developed – SynGard, Gard, and Xtreme, collectively offering automotive and heavy-duty engine oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic oils, gear oils, tractor transmission fluids, locomotive engine oils, functional fluids, and industrial lubricants. It is worth noting that Cross Packaging is wholly owned by Martin Resource management Corporation of Kilgore, Texas.
