The James Dyson Award is an annual international design, engineering and sustainability competition run by the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson's charitable trust. The Award challenges engineering and design students to design something that solves a problem. Those who enter have the opportunity to win up to £30,000 as well as global media exposure to kick-start their engineering careers. Currently running in 30 countries and regions: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.
