Institut du monde arabe

Institut du monde arabe is a cultural institution that was imagined in 1980 by President Valéry GISCARD d'ESTAING and established in its current building in 1987, under the presidency of President François MITTERRAND. It is a cultural hub that acts as a bridge between France and twenty-two Arab countries, promoting cultural exchange and cooperation. Founded in France, the institute aims to promote and enhance the understanding of the Arab world, its language, civilization, and development efforts in France. It also strives to facilitate cultural exchanges and collaboration, particularly in the fields of science and technology, between France and the Arab world. Since its foundation, the Institut du monde arabe has been dedicated to strengthening the relations between France and the Arab world and contributing to closer ties between the Arab world and Europe.
