HopeWorks Social Enterprises

HopeWorks Social Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping low-income residents in Snohomish County achieve self-sufficiency through social enterprises. The company's slogan "We create pathways to self-sufficiency through social enterprises that provide empowerment, education, & job training" encapsulates its mission. HopeWorks targets individuals who have stable, affordable housing through county programs, offering training and skill-building through social enterprise businesses. So far, HopeWorks has successfully established three social enterprises. The first, GroundWorks Landscaping, became self-sufficient through earned income in March 2013. The second, ReNewWorks Home and Decor Store, is a retail high-end home furnishings consignment store with an online presence. The third enterprise, CafeWorks, provides quality espresso, food, and meeting space while enabling formerly homeless and low-income youth to learn barista and culinary skills. The company's next expansion, HopeWorks Station II, is set to open in 2019, offering housing units and commercial space to expand its culinary training. HopeWorks collaborates with numerous community organizations and is an affiliated partner of Housing Hope. The company secured a $2.69M Debt Financing investment on 01 April 2017 to support and facilitate its expansion. Through its innovative approach, HopeWorks Social Enterprises continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of financially struggling adults and families in the United States.
