APT Northeast

APT Northeast is a chapter of the Association for Preservation Technology International covering New England, New York State, and northern New Jersey. Originally established as the APT New York Chapter in the mid-1980s, it was restructured in 2003 to expand its territory and membership, currently boasting over 300 members. The organization is dedicated to serving the local community with regional and local preservation events and outreach, organizing workshops, co-sponsoring events with local and statewide preservation organizations, and hosting symposia, including the annual meeting in late February. APT Northeast demonstrates its commitment to the preservation cause by providing support to students through free student membership, discounted young preservation membership, event admission, and annual scholarship opportunities.
