World like Home

World like Home, a startup based in France, offers pre- and post-arrival services, a community, and forum for students studying in France. The project originated from the personal experiences of foreign students in Le Mans who faced challenges upon their arrival in a foreign country. One incident involved a student misplacing his passport, highlighting the stress and anxiety of traveling alone and adjusting to a new environment.

The pivotal moment for World like Home was when the coordinator assisted a student from Colombia who had just arrived in France to pursue studies in economics and finance. With no family or friends in the country and limited proficiency in the local language, the student struggled to navigate to the hostel and campus despite receiving necessary procedures from the university. The coordinator, Andrew, who had faced a similar experience upon his arrival, empathetically helped the student with formalities, sparking the idea to address the plight of other students in similar situations.

Founded in 2019, World like Home operates in the E-Commerce and Education industries. Currently, the startup has not disclosed its last investment details, including the amount and investors involved.
