Wooclap

Wooclap is an interactive platform that aims to revolutionize the learning experience for students. Founded in 2014 by Jonathan Alzetta and Sébastien Lebbe, the startup has its headquarters in Belgium. Wooclap utilizes smartphones as a tool to encourage student-teacher interaction, shifting the focus from passive learning to active participation. With a focus on improving retention and comprehension, Wooclap collaborates with neuroscientists, teachers, and learning technologists. The platform, available in seven languages, is used by over 1,000,000 teachers in more than 150 countries and over a hundred higher education institutions globally. In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Wooclap introduced Wooflash in 2020, a revision platform incorporating neuroscience and artificial intelligence to enhance distance learning. Notably, the startup received a €500.00K grant investment on 28 February 2019. Wooclap's success lies in its ability to enhance engagement, foster interaction, and support personalized learning, making it a noteworthy player in the EdTech, Education, and SaaS industries.
