Wolf Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co.KG is a German company founded in 1988 by Dr.-Ing. Ernst Wolf. The company's focus is on transforming knowledge acquired at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation into marketable machine technology, initially developing and distributing components for automatic soldering of industrial robots and later expanding into complete individual machines.
In the early 90s, in response to a recession, the company diversified its program to include automatic assembly with complete assembly lines. This was followed by an entry into laser soldering through light soldering in the mid-90s. Towards the end of the decade, the development of a comprehensive machine platform was initiated, leading to the introduction of the "Skyline" brand in the market.
Subsequently, the company responded to the financial crisis by developing more cost-effective machines with reduced automation, yet equivalent process technology, under the name "Boxline." This initiative received funding and recognition from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology as part of the Central Innovation Program for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
Currently, Wolf Produktionssysteme GmbH & Co.KG employs approximately 100 individuals, with an apprentice rate exceeding 10%. The company operates in the Automation and Manufacturing industries.
