Winco Fireworks International, LLC is a renowned fireworks wholesaler and the exclusive distributor of Black Cat fireworks in North America. Founded in 1979 by John & David Collar, the company initially began as a part-time venture, gradually expanding to several seasonal locations. In 1998, Winco formed a partnership with Li&Fung, the owners of the iconic Black Cat brand, subsequently becoming the sole US distributor of Black Cat fireworks. Presently, Winco operates nine distribution centers and 38 brick and mortar retail stores across 18 states, employing approximately 275 year-round employees and over 2000 seasonal employees. The company's corporate office is situated in Prairie Village, KS. Additionally, Winco is an active member of various industry organizations including the American Pyrotechnics Associations, American Fireworks Standards Laboratory, National Council on Fireworks Safety, and numerous state associations.
