Previously, the communities engaged by Whole Forest relied on clear-cutting and illegal logging for income. However, the company is aiding them in transitioning to sustainable forest management and product manufacturing, therefore reducing the need for destructive practices. Established in 2002, Whole Forest has evolved into a vertically-integrated social venture, collaborating with numerous organizations and over 500 families.
