The Western Governors' Association was established in 1984 to represent the Governors of 19 Western states and 3 U.S. territories in the Pacific. Through their Association, the Governors identify and address key policy and governance issues that include natural resources, the environment, human services, economic development, intergovernmental relations and international relations.
