West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a governmental organization founded in 2016 with a vision to foster inclusive economic growth, enhance connectivity, and build a more prosperous and healthier population in the United Kingdom. Comprised of 18 local authorities, three Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), and chaired by the Mayor of the West Midlands, WMCA is dedicated to transferring powers from Whitehall to locally elected politicians. With a focus on transport, productivity, skills, housing, regeneration, industrial strategy, finance, investment, and public service reform, WMCA is strategically positioned to drive change and propel the West Midlands region forward.
