WCG Metrics Champion Consortium (MCC) is a trailblazing entity operating under WCG Clinical Services, dedicated to fostering advancement through the collaborative use of standardized metrics within the pharmaceutical industry. Established in 2006, MCC serves as a platform for biopharmaceutical and device sponsors, service providers, and sites to enhance clinical trial development by leveraging MCC standardized performance metrics focused on time, cost, and quality. The consortium offers a range of services including the development and implementation of standardized performance metrics and process improvement tools, support for metrics and tools implementation, sharing best practices, providing training, performance benchmarking, and producing publications to expand member knowledge. Comprising industry volunteer working groups, MCC focuses on creating standardized metrics such as clinical trial performance metrics, central lab metrics, cardiopulmonary metrics, imaging metrics, clinical site metrics, and the forthcoming risk-based monitoring metrics.
