VoiceLayer is a developer platform founded in 2013, based in the United States, offering efficient integration of enterprise-grade Push-to-Talk (PTT) communications into field service applications such as those for construction, hospitality, and fleet management. The platform provides a broad suite of enterprise features including IP-Radio gateways, on-premise servers, and advanced audio management. Built on Ericson’s Erlang for reliability and employing Google’s QUIC transport protocol for low latency PTT under poor network conditions, VoiceLayer aims to enhance communication in challenging environments. Additionally, MODULO, VoiceLayer's second product, is a standalone PTT walkie-talkie app certified by the US government for mission-critical use by first responders. The company recently secured a Seed Round investment on 01 June 2019.
