Virvolt

Virvolt is a French startup founded in 2018 with the slogan "Votre vélo en vélo électrique. Tout simplement ⚡️". The company aims to address the issue of daily commuting and the environmental impact of cars by providing a sustainable solution for short-distance travel. With the belief that electric bicycles are a key part of the solution, Virvolt has developed a conversion kit called Virvolt 900, capable of transforming over 98% of existing bicycles into electric bikes. This innovation has gained popularity, with over 4000 conversions completed through a network of 200 partners across France. At June 9, 2023, Virvolt successfully secured a Seed Round investment from Afrimobility, signaling a vote of confidence from the investor in the company's vision and potential. Looking forward, the company plans to further expand its impact by collaborating with bicycle manufacturers to develop new electric bikes designed to be comfortable, durable, repairable, and suitable for all, exemplified by its partnership with the Bordeaux-based brand Jean Fourche.
