Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness in the Pittsburgh region. Founded in 1996 and located in Larimer, the company strives to provide a variety of supportive services for the growing population of homeless veterans in the Pittsburgh area. Working in partnership with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and other organizations, their goal is to facilitate Veterans’ transition from homeless to formerly homeless, becoming engaged, valuable citizens who contribute to their communities.

In its current location since 2004, Veterans Place operates several programs. The organization offers homeless Veterans a place to live in their 48-bed Transitional Housing Program, where they receive case management, recovery support, clothing, an on-site food pantry, employment support, and other services designed to build them toward self-sufficiency and successful independent living.

They also serve Veterans living in Pittsburgh’s emergency shelters and on the streets through their Homeless Veterans Day Program, providing transportation, meals, clothing, case management, and addressing the root issues that cause homelessness, including chemical dependency and mental illness.

The company's goal is to provide homeless Veterans with an array of facilities and services that build long-term residential stability, employment, sobriety, and self-determination. Their last investment of $2.00M was through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) on 27 April 2022. With its strong focus on addressing the critical issue of veteran homelessness, Veterans Place remains an important organization in the United States.
