Verkfæri ehf, founded in 2009, operates in the sales and importation of machinery, equipment, and tools for construction and earthworks contractors, manufacturing companies, municipalities, and other entities in Iceland. The company also offers spare parts and various services. As an authorized dealer for Merlo, Kobelco, Leica, Haulotte, Powerscreen, Terex, Clark, and others, Verkfæri ehf plays a significant role in the sales and services of GPS equipment for earthworks contractors. In 2019, the company relocated to a new and impressive 665-square-meter facility in Tónahvarfi 3, Kópavogur, and later expanded by adding 350 square meters for warehousing and product reception. Currently, the company's premises in Kópavogur amount to approximately 1,000 square meters. Verkfæri ehf also operates workshops at Dalsbraut 1 in Akureyri and employs several partners in rural areas to provide services across the country. The venture has not disclosed its last investment and investors.
