Up with People

Up with People is a youth empowerment organization focused on creating lifelong changemakers within a global community dedicated to advancing inclusivity, sustainability, and human rights. Since its establishment in 1965, the company has engaged 22,000 participants from 138 countries who have completed 14,000 visits to communities in 72 countries and contributed over 3 million volunteer service hours. Up with People is founded on intentional community, creativity, the arts, and determined optimism, setting it apart in the field of Positive Youth Development. Despite pausing its programs in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been actively reevaluating and reimagining its future direction. Up with People aims to return with innovative new programs, continuing its mission to build an inclusive and sustainable world where all individuals are equal in dignity and rights.
