United Wisconsin Grain Producers, LLC (UWGP) is an ethanol facility in Wisconsin, founded by a group of local corn growers in August 2001. The facility, operational since April 2005, currently produces 60 million gallons of ethanol per year. With over 900 member/investors, it is a community-owned company with the majority of owners residing in the surrounding area, many of whom are farmers. UWGP follows a unique model wherein corn is sold to the facility by the owners, who in turn purchase back the distillers' grains for livestock feed. Despite over eight years in production, UWGP remains committed to running an economically successful business while contributing to a cleaner environment and economic activity based on renewable agricultural products. Ethanol, the primary product, offers environmental and economic benefits, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 59% compared to gasoline. It is also renewable, sustainable, and contributes to national security. The company operates in the Agriculture and Renewable Energy industries, aligning with the global push for sustainable practices and clean energy. Ethanol production has also led to job creation, employing hundreds of thousands of Americans. For every billion gallons produced, an additional 10,000 to 20,000 jobs are generated, further contributing to economic growth and employment opportunities.
