Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is Malaysia's 17th public university, approved by the Malaysian Cabinet in May 2001. It is one of four technical universities in Malaysia and was initially established as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM), focusing on engineering study programmes with industrial skills preferred by the industry. UniMAP offers support programs to help students excel in both their academic and campus life. The university provides Ph.D., Masters, undergraduate, and diploma programs, with a focus on electronics, engineering, engineering technology, and technology study programs. It also offers International Business, Engineering Entrepreneurship, and an MBA in Engineering Management. The main campuses are Pauh Putra Nature Campus, Unicity Nature Campus, and Kangar City Campus, housing six faculties and a total of 36 undergraduates and six diploma study programs. As of 2021, UniMAP hosts 12,884 students. UniMAP graduates are prepared to become competent practitioners in their specialized fields of study.
