UK Community Foundations

UK Community Foundations (UKCF) is the membership organization of 47 accredited community foundations across the UK and 3 international members, collectively distributing over £170 million in grants to charities, community groups, and individuals annually. The organization collaborates with the UK Government, corporations, trusts, foundations, and other donors on a national scale to positively impact local lives through place-based philanthropy. They also provide advice, learning, and resources to support their members in delivering the highest standards of service to communities.

Community foundations, like UKCF, come in all shapes and sizes, but they all share a commitment to making a difference in the places they serve. They invest in local people and organizations tackling significant community issues and supporting some of society’s most disadvantaged individuals. Community foundations also facilitate matching donors and partners to important local causes through a variety of different giving schemes including legacy giving, donor advised funds, pooled funds, fundraising for local appeals and campaigns, and endowment funds.
