UILCA Lombardia is a regional union operating in the banking, insurance, collection, financial intermediation, and regional authorities sectors. It participates in negotiations for the subscription and renewal of second-level labor contracts and agreements in both national and foreign companies in Lombardy. The organization, formed in January 1998 through the merger of UIB (Unione Italiana Bancari) and UILASS (Unione Italiana Lavoratori delle Assicurazioni), joined with FILE (Federazione Italiana Lavoratori Esattoriali) in April 2000. The UILCA adheres to the UNI Global Union and advocates removing economic and social obstacles limiting citizens' freedom and equality.
Founded in 1970, UILCA has always pursued the best solutions for workers, despite being less convenient and more strenuous. The organization is committed to upholding its values, rejecting preconceived and useless ideologies while concretely and effectively defending workers. Its services, including welfare, tax assistance, legal protection, and support, aim to comprehensively assist members in resolving their needs, difficulties, and information requests.
The UILCA Lombardia's dedication to worker advocacy and support in the financial services and banking sectors reflects its longstanding mission to promote the full development and participation of all workers in the country's political, economic, and social organization.
