UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) is the premier institution on the UC Berkeley campus for the study and practice of “technology-centric” entrepreneurship and innovation. Established in 2005, SCET has been instrumental in creating the foundation of Berkeley’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, including SkyDeck, the Fung Institute, the Engineering Leadership Professional Program, Global Venture Lab, and an extensive network of Silicon Valley and Global partners.
One of SCET’s notable contributions is the development of the Berkeley Method, an internationally recognized approach to teaching technology entrepreneurship for undergraduates, innovation for Ph.D. students, and technology firm leadership for professionals and executives. Collaborating closely with the Jacob’s Institute for Design, the Haas Business School, and CITRIS Foundry within the Berkeley Innovation ecosystem, SCET is at the forefront of fostering New Ventures and Innovation, both on the Berkeley campus and globally.
The Center, located within the College of Engineering of UC Berkeley, is the academic home of the Department Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. With its pivotal role in the Internet industry, SCET offers a unique platform for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to thrive, making it an ideal destination for those interested in role-playing within the innovation space.
