Thotaka Technologies India (P) Ltd, founded in 2005 by two young engineers, began as an Electronic Engineering Services Provider. In March 2011, Thotaka licensed out its SCADA-RTU design to a relay manufacturer, transitioning into a technology company. In March 2015, the company received funding from New York based Bravia Capital, expanding its technology portfolio. The year 2017 marked the commencement of Thotaka's Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) journey.

Thotaka specializes in designing, producing, and supplying electronics, firmware, and software for various industries including Industrial Automation and IoT, Precision Analog and Wireless/RF, Multimedia and Networking, Ultra-Low-energy consumption devices, Power Electronics and Motor Control, and Retail Automation encompassing Kiosks, Signage, Smart Tags, Desktop Billing Systems, and Bill printers. The company also holds partnerships with notable entities such as Windows Embedded Partner, Freescale (Now NXP) Alliance Partner, Xilinx Alliance member, and Intel India Design House Member.
