TWT is the #1 producer of Thermally Modified Wood (TMW) in North America. TWT's corporate offices are located in Polson, Montana. Our "closed vacuum system" uses lower temperatures with higher pressure and NO STEAM or CHEMICALS. This process makes the wood more stable, more durable, rot resistant, insect resistant and environmentally friendly. As a result, our system make it possibly for TWT to produce TMW in 6 to 8 hours whereas the competition can take anywhere from 36 to 48 hours and they use steam! This makes TWT a very environmentally friendly company.
