The Resource Foundation
The Resource Foundation (TRF) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income communities in Latin America and the Caribbean with knowledge, skills, and opportunities. Founded in 1987, TRF partners with corporations, foundations, and individuals, as well as a network of over 270 local nonprofit partners in the region to support disadvantaged communities in various development areas such as women’s empowerment, education, job skills, healthcare, HIV/AIDS, financial inclusion, and capacity building.
With a focus on local solutions, TRF has provided over $70 million in grants to support nearly 2,000 programs and reached approximately 2 million people through 221 initiatives in 2013 alone. Notably, the organization has received six Charity Navigator 4-star ratings for its sound fiscal management, transparency, and accountability. TRF is also a founding member of the Alliance for International Giving, a strategic partnership for international giving in key regions.
TRF’s commitment to transparency and impactful programs positions it as an attractive prospect for potential partners or investors interested in education and community empowerment initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.
