The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital (formerly Mountain District Private Hospital) was purpose built as a private hospital in 1982 and is licensed for 39 beds. The modern facilities are set against picturesque gardens at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Services are offered in a comfortable, friendly surrounding and supported by highly trained and caring staff with spacious accommodation including single and shared rooms with en-suite facilities. All beds have television and direct dial phones for your convenience. There are two fully equipped operating theatres and a day-procedure room. Surgical specialties offered include: Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Dental, Dermatology, Plastics, General Surgery including Lap Banding, and Endoscopy. In addition, we offer General Medical and Specialist Pain Management services, Radiology and Pathology services.
