The Discovery Center of Springfield

The Discovery Center of Springfield is a nonprofit science center established in 1991, dedicated to STEM education. The organization's mission is to encourage a love of learning and curiosity in science through engaging hands-on experiences. With 7 floors and over 300 exhibits spread across 60,000 square feet, the center offers an immersive and interactive learning environment. Operating as a 501(c)3 organization, The Discovery Center of Springfield relies on admissions, memberships, program fees, and donations to sustain its educational mission. The center caters to a wide audience, serving 3 countries, over 30 US states, and more than 30 counties in Missouri. Furthermore, it provides field trips and educational resources for teachers and families, as well as affordable options for events and rentals. In July 2024, the center received a grant investment from the Nissan Foundation, marking its commitment to continuous growth and innovation in STEM education. With its engaging approach and wide reach, The Discovery Center of Springfield is set to further inspire a passion for learning and exploration in science for years to come.
