TESTEX is a globally operating, independent Swiss testing and certification organisation with focus on textile and leather testing. Founded in 1846 and originally known as the “Seidentrocknungsanstalt Zurich” (Silk Conditioning Institute), the TESTEX Group now operates 40 branches with around 400 employees worldwide (including TESTEX and OETI) from its head office in Zurich.
TESTEX is a member institute of the OEKO-TEX® Association and the official representative in 13 countries including Australia, Canada, the P.R. China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland, South Korea and Taiwan.
As an accredited, internationally recognised and independent testing laboratory, TESTEX certifies according to strict continental and international regulations and standards, including OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, STeP, MADE IN GREEN, ECO PASSPORT, LEATHER STANDARD, DETOX TO ZERO, UV STANDARD 801, PPE certification (SCESp 0096, Notified Body 1726) and Round Robin Tests (ISO 17043). They also offer comprehensive testing programmes for all textile raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, encompassing testing textile physics and textile chemistry as well as analytical tests.
