Terracle

Terracle is a waste plastic recycling company based in Korea South, founded in 2021. Their mission is to achieve the infinite use of plastic without environmental pollution. Terracle uses Depolymerization technology to chemically recycle disposable coffee cups, low-grade waste plastics, and polyester, including PET, the largest source of waste plastics, regardless of color. Their process results in the production of high-purity TPA (terephthalic acid) and EG (ethylene glycol). In their most recent round of funding, Terracle secured a KRW10.50B Series A investment on 18th March 2024. The investment was led by a consortium of investors including DSC Investment, Envisioning Partners, KDB Investment, Schmidt, and Hyundai Motor Company. Terracle's innovative approach to plastic recycling and the substantial backing they received from notable investors position them as a promising player in the sustainable technology space.
