This effort aligns with Australia's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 43% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050. The recent Seed Round investment on 9th June 2023 received funding from Minderoo Foundation and Screen Australia. As the headquarters of this startup is in Australia, it's strategically positioned to pioneer sustainable practices in the Australian screen production landscape. By leveraging an existing model developed by We Are Albert, Sustainable Screens Australia intends to swiftly align with international sustainability frameworks already established in North America, the UK, and Europe. The startup endeavors to implement a comprehensive national framework supported by an online hub, specialized training, and a bespoke carbon calculator tool.
