Standard Cableteam Spain S.L. is a manufacturing startup that has been operating since 1927 in Maliaño, Cantabria, producing both copper and optical fiber cables for global telecom and railway operators. With a history of more than 80 years, the plant has been a significant player in the cable industry under various names such as Standard Electrica, ITT, Alcatel Cable, Nexans Iberia, and B3 Cable Solutions. Acquired by the Wilms Group in October 2013 after a period of closure due to the B3 Group bankruptcy, the plant restarted its operations under the name Standard Cableteam Spain S.L. with a diverse portfolio of over 2,000 cable references, including copper telecom cables, signaling cables for railways, and optical fiber cables. The startup is now well-equipped to participate in domestic and international tenders with strong technical and financial backing.
