Established in Fribourg in April 2020, the company is a spin-off of Swibrace Ltd, a company focused on developing orthopedic 3D-printed braces since 2017. Spirecut aims to enhance postoperative outcomes by creating surgical instruments designed specifically for percutaneous treatments. Their innovative instruments and techniques offer unique benefits, including the absence of skin incisions and postoperative scars, allowing patients to immediately return to daily activities. The last investment was a Series A round on 26th March 2024, marking an important milestone in the company's growth. As of now, the investors for this round have not been disclosed. Based in Switzerland, Spirecut is positioning itself as a pioneering force in MedTech, with a focus on improving the treatment experience and outcomes for individuals suffering from common hand conditions.
