SpinDrive

SpinDrive is a Finland-based startup founded in 2015 with the slogan "Democratizing levitation." The company specializes in providing design, prototyping, and serial production of active magnetic bearings (AMBs) for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in the energy sector.

SpinDrive's innovative solutions aim to significantly reduce energy losses in machines, with the potential to lower CO2 emissions by up to 200 tons annually. This is equivalent to mitigating the burning of 2,000 barrels of oil, offering a compelling environmental impact. Furthermore, their active magnetic bearings eliminate mechanical friction, resulting in 20 years of maintenance-free operations.

The latest funding of €2.50M was secured through a grant investment from The European Innovation Council on 28 February 2024. This investment will likely support SpinDrive's mission to help OEM customers increase system efficiency, reduce material consumption, and minimize maintenance costs, ultimately lowering customer's equipment lifecycle costs by 35%.

By providing completely oil-free solutions, SpinDrive enables OEM customers to enter rapidly growing markets and align with a contaminant-free environmental strategy, opening up new opportunities for sustainable growth and market expansion.
