SOCEP is one of the leading port operators in Port Constanta, with approximately 30 years of experience in the field. Its operations are structured into two business lines: Container Terminal - with a 500,000 TEU annual operating capacity, and General Cargo and Cereals Terminal - with a 3 million-ton annual operating capacity. SOCEP is the only port operator listed on the BVB category I, with an annual turnover of approximately €15,000,000.

The company has been designated by CNAPM Constanta as the Best General Cargo Port Operator in the years 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. SOCEP offers a wide range of terminal services including container handling and storage, refrigerated container storage and monitoring, stripping/stuffing services, CODECO GATE IN/GATE OUT and COARRI reporting in EDI format, and Web access.

SOCEP's operations include loading/unloading of ships, wagons, and other means of transportation as well as auxiliary operations related to general cargo exploitation such as metallurgical products, products packaged in bags, wood products, paper, outsized goods, and automobiles. The Terminal for Bulk Cargo and Cereals Operations offers services for solid bulk import, export, and transit operations for fertilizers, bauxite, cereals, sugar, coke, sulfur, ore, and timber utilizing technological flows composed of port cranes, loading/unloading bridges, conveyors, shiploaders, and forklifts.
