sitem-insel AG is a non-profit oriented public private partnership based in Switzerland, with a mission to establish, operate, and develop a National Center of Excellence for Translational Medicine. The institute aims to professionalize the interaction between scientists, universities, clinicians, regulatory bodies, and investors, by translating new findings and products from the private sector and basic research into clinical application. Founded in 2014, sitem-insel's strategy is built on three pillars: the sitem-insel School and sitem-insel Enabling Facilities in collaboration with the University of Bern, offering postgraduate education, infrastructure, and cooperation opportunities, as well as sitem-insel Promoting Services focused on optimizing administrative-regulatory efforts in the journey from laboratory bench to commercial products. The organization's goal is to create an enhanced environment for translational medicine in Switzerland, with a focus on fostering innovation and collaboration in the field.
