SHOFCO

SHOFCO is Kenya's largest grassroots movement, with a slogan of "mobilizing over 2.4 million people across Kenya’s slums to break survival mode." Founded in 2004, the organization aims to tackle the challenges posed by increasing urbanization in Kenya. Its focus is on giving power, dignity, and hope to vulnerable communities, organizing and strengthening community groups to equip them with knowledge and skills to identify appropriate solutions to their problems.
