Shell Rock Soy Processing is a new soybean crushing plant located at the Butler Logistics Park in the United States, with a vision to add value to locally-grown soybeans. Scheduled to become operational in 2022, the plant is set to crush 38.5 million bushels of soybeans annually, equivalent to 110,000 bushels per day, and is expected to generate 50 to 60 high-quality jobs. The company aims to maximize the value derived from locally-grown soybeans, capable of meeting both food and fuel needs. This initiative holds the potential to propel value-added agriculture forward in Iowa and bring Butler County and its surrounding areas to the forefront of the global ag economy.
