SharpShark.io is a Techstars SEA '22 startup offering a cross-chain universal NFT certifier and a blockchain-powered SaaS focusing on the protection of intellectual property. The company's mission is to assist businesses in safeguarding and monetizing their textual, visual, and other copyrightable assets. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in The Netherlands, SharpShark's latest financial boost came from a $120.00K Pre Seed Round investment led by Techstars on 15 June 2022.

The core functionality of SharpShark involves enabling content creators to protect their intellectual property by tokenizing it as NFT. Through their system, an author can input their content into SharpShark’s editor. If it passes the originality check, the system generates a certificate of authorship that contains all the necessary data to prove the authorship in line with the Berne convention and EUCD. Subsequently, the system continuously monitors the internet, seeking reverse content, and sends an alert if the author’s content is possibly unduly republished. In such cases, SharpShark helps the author in generating and sending a claim, first to the website owner and then to providers and search engines.
